Milkweed Flower Cordial Lemon Poppyseed Bundt Cakes with Tremella Frosting
Milkweed Flower Cordial is like a syrup you can use in drinks, baked goods, etc. You trim the milkweed flowers off the stems and put them into a jar filled with sugar and water. I used local maple and filtered water. Added a few little sprigs of flowering yarrow. Let it sit for 3 days. It turned this beautiful hibiscus kind of color. And yet its match for a baked good in my intuition was a lemon poppyseed sort of deal. I am not into muffins nor baked goods in general and yet I love the art of baking. If I were forced to eat a muffin, it would be lemon poppyseed for sure. So there it is. And of course, tremella mushroom’s snowy extract with a taffy or marshamallow kinda flavor just had to be in that frosting.
These sold out before I could even advertise or even post one picture in my stories lol, I need to try to the milkweed flower cordial and make sure it’s still good before I bake another round. If I do, will you be one of the blessed ones that gets to consume one? They are very special and oh so delicious.
